You have:
- High school diploma with minimum 1 year working with children, preferably adolescents.
- BA in relevant field would be considered as an asset.
- Previous experience with migration context or projects would be considered as an asset.
- Professional experience in the field of social or educational services or in organizations which deal with immigrants or poverty alleviation is an asset.
- Fluent English written and spoken preferred.
- Ability to work and problem-solve in high-stress situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Strong flexibility and adaptability.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
World Vision BiH is responding to the migrant situation in BiH by providing social services and support to children and adult refugees. World Vision BiH also provides Akelius Digital Language Course services within the TRC Borici. Akelius Assistant Teacher will be responsible for overall support to implementation of informal/formal education activities and Akelius Digital Language Course.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of equipment (tablets) for class
Responsible for organizing the attendees/children for the class
Documenting the progress of class/project activities (keeping track of the children participated in course, maintaining attendance lists, providing information on status of Language course)
Maintain daily records, track children’s progress and intervene to help children progress as necessary
Assistance in conducting English Language course classes for migrant children 5 to 18 accommodated in TRC Borici
Assisting the teacher in conducting non-formal education workshops
Assisting teachers and children during vocational training
Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where the unique needs of all students are met
Preparing relevant inputs for project reports
Taking care of WV equipment
Regular checkups of equipment
In case of equipment failure responsible for immediate reporting to the coordinator
Establishing collaborative relationships with other stakeholders, operating in TRC Borici
Working collaboratively with WV BiH Emergency Response staff and participate in staff meetings
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION:
High school diploma with minimum 1 years working with children, preferably adolescents
BA in relevant field would be considered as an asset
Previous experience with migration context or projects would be considered as an asset.
Professional experience in the field of social or educational services or in organizations which deal with immigrants or poverty alleviation is an asset;
Attuned to Child Protection and Education issues especially in emergencies preferred
Willingness to work in difficult environment
Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
Fluent English written and spoken preferred
ADDITIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AS A MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Work experience in CP and Education area, in NGO sector is preferred.
Ability to compromise, negotiate and work well with others.
