Provide maintenance and repair of Air Conditioning units in Beirut
You have:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Supplemental courses/technical certificate in HVAC engineering or other related field is required.
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration installations is required.
- Knowledge of English (both oral and written) is required.
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
Result of Service Avoid breaks in installed Air Conditioners within UNSCOL Provide immediate assistance on any Air Conditioners failure related issues within the premises. Avoid any Air Conditioners problems within the premises all time
Work Location Beirut
Expected duration Four (4) Months and for a total hours of 100 Hours during the 4 months
Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Chief Service Delivery, the incumbent shall perform the following tasks within UNSCOL Premises located at Villa Sehnaoui, Yarze, Baabda: - Installs Window and Split type Air-Conditioning units. Carries out maintenance and repairs of any diagnosed faults of all types of air conditioning equipment within the premises including gas refilling and monthly check-ups. - Installs, maintains, services and repairs of all the AC units within the premises. - Performs diagnostics and preventive maintenance of ACs systems. - Carries out scheduled periodic and emergency maintenance services on all related installations and equipment for the AC units within the premises. - Install, provide preventive maintenance, repair and modify HVAC equipment including refrigeration of domestic use (Wall mounted, cassette and floor standing type A/Cs) and commercial (chilled water central cooling units, Variable Refrigerant Volume "DC Inverter and digital scroll units). - Install temperatures monitoring equipment and data logger on all the sensitive such as server room and electricity room. - Carry out maintenance and repairs of any diagnosed faults of all types of equipment related to HVAC Unit. - Recognize faults, troubleshooting and repair of all types of commercial and domestic appliances such as refrigerators, gas cooking equipment, dishwashers, electric water heaters, water boilers, washing machines and dryers. - Provide technical specifications and list of spare parts required in advance of defects occurring on the installed ACs - Perform other duties as and when required including emergency call-out and stand-by duties.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Supplemental courses / technical certificate in HVAC engineering or other related field is required. Experience: A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration installations is required. Experience of heavy-duty kitchen appliance and central cooling plants is desirable. Language: For the position advertised, Knowledge of English (both oral and written) is required.
