You have:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in communication, journalism, international relations, or a related area is required.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in advocacy, multimedia communications and motion design is required.
- Experience in producing videos, photos, and graphics is required.
- Experience with website content management systems is required.
- Proven experience with social media management is required.
- Proven knowledge of video and graphic software such as Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is required.
- Experience in crime prevention and criminal justice, organized crime or closely related fields is desirable.
- Experience working in an international environment and/or a global media outlet is desirable.
- Fluency in oral and written English is required.
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Result of Service
• Advocacy, multimedia communications and graphic motion products produced in coordination with the programme Team. • Regular tweets published and digital engagement maintained in line with with a social media calendar, covering relevant programmes activities. • Support provided for the maintenance and development of the Programme’s website. • Support provided for the preparations for the Global Fraud Summit • Relevant information, data, and supporting material (i.e. video recordings, photo coverage, etc.) collected and used to produce web-stories, newsletters and other advocacy products (videos, quote-cards etc.) • Inputs provided to Programme reporting by collecting and analyzing social media and website analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities
The position is located in the Conference Support Section (CSS), Organized Crime and Illicit Trafficking Branch (OCB), Division for Treaty Affairs (DTA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The incumbent will coordinate the performance of their duties with relevant colleagues discharging similar functions at the section level as well as in collaboration with relevant counterparts in UNODC as necessary. Under the supervision of the assigned Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer and the overall guidance of the Chief of Section, the consultant will perform the following specific tasks: 1) Contribute to the advocacy and communications objectives of the Programme team; 2) Develop advocacy, multimedia communications and graphic motion products in coordination with the programme Team and the UNODC Advocacy Team, manage the Programme’s X account, continuously update the website/platform in line with a social media calendar, cover relevant programmes activities, and maintain digital engagement. 3) Support the maintenance and development of the Programme’s website, as needed. 4) Collect and process relevant information, data, and supporting material (i.e. video recordings, photo coverage) and producing web-stories, newsletters and other advocacy products (videos, quote-cards etc.). 5) Contribute to Programme reporting by collecting and analyzing social media and website analytics.
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in communication, journalism, international relations, or related area (including graphic design, information technology, media, public relations, social sciences, film, video, multimedia production) is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in advocacy, multimedia communications and motion design is required; • Experience in producing videos, photos and graphics is required; • Experience with website content management systems is required; • Proven experience with social media management is required; • Proven knowledge of video and graphic software such as, but not limited to, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is required; • Experience in crime prevention and criminal justice, organized crime or closely related fields is desirable; • Experience working in an international environment and/or a global media outlet is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
