Are you an experienced Public Outreach & Fundraising Expert? Insamlingsstiftelsen NRC Flyktinghjälpen Sverige (NRC Sweden) is looking for you!

We are seeking an Adviser, Public Outreach and Fundraising, to strengthen NRC’s public presence and engagement in Sweden through strategic use of media and digital channels. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of digital fundraising campaigns and take responsibility for external reporting on the impact of projects supported by the Swedish public. You will also work closely with the Operational Manager and the NRC Sweden administration team to support legal, financial, and administrative functions as needed. This is an exciting opportunity to drive visibility, mobilize support, and contribute to NRC’s humanitarian mission.

NRC Sweden, established in December 2016, supports NRC’s mission by raising awareness, advocating for displaced people’s rights, and mobilizing resources within Sweden. Its daily operations are managed by NRC’s Private Fundraising Department - a global team focused on engaging individuals and organizations to build awareness and secure primarily unearmarked funding for NRC. The Adviser for Public Outreach and Fundraising, employed by NRC Sweden, forms part of this department.

What you will do:

  1. Responsible for prioritized fundraising products and operating fundraising channels as set out in the section’s strategy and annual plans/ targets.
  2. Plan, create and edit communication products for NRC Sweden digital platforms and channels to fundraise for NRC
  3. Leading engagement of public on awareness of refugee issues, and maintain the country web site, social media and media engagement and ensure quality and impact.
  4. Responsible for day-to-day communication with target audiences on social media (community management)
  5. Manage translation services and do quality assurance of content including reports, newsletters, and articles.
  6. Responsible for developing reports on project funded by NRC Sweden to external stakeholders according to requirements set by relevant stakeholders like Giva Sverige. These reports are based on the grants reports as received from FO.
  7. Support to Public Communications /Media (25%):
    1. In coordination with the global media team, pitch story ideas and media products to Swedish media.
    2. Develop and nurture media contacts, coordinate and manage interviews.
    3. Translate and adapt NRC media and communication products and make it relevant to the Swedish audiences e.g. press releases, statements, articles.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track performance, measure success, and optimise content based on data
  • • Experience within digital advertising and a proven ability to deliver results using Meta ads manager, Google ads and other digital marketing tools.
  • Experience in video editing and graphic design using Adobe software "

What we offer:
