How can you make a difference?

The centralization of international travel administration to GSSC, UNICEF will be able to streamline processes, better utilize resources, improve reporting, monitor policy compliance and reduce administrative burden. GSSC will review international travel authorizations for compliance, approvals, posting, travel claims and entitlement lumpsum calculations.

Administrative Officer will be responsible as team lead for ensuring quality of work, performance delivery, service excellence and compliance for the Travel unit.

This will involve:

  1. Technical leadership, operational support and guidance
  2. Transactional service management
  3. People Management
  4. Strategic Partnership
  5. Other administrative duties

Requirements:

  • A University Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Public/Business Administration or any other relevant field is required. Advanced University degree is an asset.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in administration, preferably with an international organization and involved in the administration of international travel arrangements.
  • Working experience in ERP system (SAP) is required
  • Experience in UNICEF/UN Travel Units and Travel administration and handling travel in a shared services/business support center is highly desirable.
  • Experience in planning, organizing and delivering administrative support services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of UN/UNICEF'S rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
  • Experience using global distribution system (i.e., SABRE, Amadeus…etc.) is considered an asset.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
