Overview
Assist the Disability Inclusion Unit with administrative tasks.
You have:
- Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher).
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Have recently graduated with a university degree and must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations.
- Ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
- Proficiency in Arabic & English.
Contract

Background
Under direct supervision from UNDP Syria country office economic development and livelihood portfolio and disability inclusion unit, the intern will provide support for all aspects of the day-to-day tasks at disability inclusion unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
- Collaborates as required to the improvement of filing, archiving and tracking systems.
- Manages databases and input information, data, and records
- Provides full support to unit’s tasks and follows up with team members to meet deadlines.
- Participate in workshops preparations and facilitation
- Communicate with colleagues from other supporting unit and with national and community counterparts
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
Applicant should meet one of the following requirements:
- Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher).
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
- Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
Experience:
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter, is desirable.
- Have demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views, is desirable.
Language Requirements:
