ABOUT THE JOB

The position holder will make daily payments through cash, cheques & wire transfer to vendors and beneficiaries. He/She will have the custody of office safe. The position holder will also support administrative functions such as office supplies management, filing and records of necessary documents

Responsibilities:

  • Custody of office safe and be accountable for the cash box.
  • Check each document for assuring all paper works are in place. Make cash payments for small amounts.
  • Report daily cash counts to the area manager or admin/finance officer.
  • Preparation of cheques and wire transfers for bank payments.
  • Dealing with the bank on issues related to finance.
  • Any senior manager is allowed with the authorization of the AM, HoSS or the CD to perform cash count
  • Ensure the use of accurate exchange rates of currencies;
  • Withdraw cash from the bank when needed with the support of the AFO.
  • Ensure that security is up to standard for any cash movements (as per procedure)
  • Payment: make payments for all items and services which have been properly approved
  • Safe & Cashbook checking: at the end of each day, the cashbook and the safe should be checked and the balance should correspond;
  • Issue advances based on approved documents to staff.
  • Tax reports preparation.
  • Payment of all electricity and other utilities bills
  • Assist with admin finance officer in administrative activities whenever needed such as office supplies, leave tracking’s, filing.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience and technical competencies:

  • 1-2 years of experience in related fields.

Female applicants:

  • Interested qualified female candidates with a minimum of 1 years of relevant working experience in Human Resources and Administration may be considered for the next stage of the recruitment process.
  • Female in DRC who travel for official trips will be allowed to travel with a Moharam and the travel/accommodation cost will be incurred by DRC.
  • Female mothers who work for DRC are eligible for Day Care cost for their children up to the age of 6.

Education/qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics or relevant field preferred. High school with strong Accounting & Admin background is suitable

Languages:

  • English, Dari and Pashto
