The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate is to promote and protect durable solutions to conflict and displacement affected populations on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 250 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2022 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.

DRC is currently looking for Administration Assistant for its operation in Kyiv.

Overall purpose of the role:

Provide administrative support to colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Book national and international accommodation and travel
  • Follow up and support with residency and work permits
  • Manage apartments and guest houses. Negotiate with landlords, follow up on formalities and draft of lease agreements.
  • Collect and consolidate requests for office supplies, keys, ID cards, sim cards, etc.
  • Collecting invoices, other relative documents from vendors
  • Translate and interpret between English, Ukrainian and Russian
  • Hand our key cards and keys for offices and GHs – SC
  • Office management
  • Other relevant administration duties as requested by the manager

Education/qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification
  • Advanced English proficiency

We offer

Contract: 3 months, with possibility of an extension, depending on funding and performance.

Duty station: Kyiv
