STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Information Systems, Business Administration, or another field related to managing IT contracts.

Experience: • Has experience managing, coaching, and training staff within areas of expertise. • Has experience working with local customs and IT/TC authorities.

Language: Fluency (level C) in both Arabic and English.

JOB PURPOSE

To support the delivery of quality, customer-focused, value for money administrative services that enable staff in country/location operations to deliver food assistance to beneficiaries, in line with WFP’s strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Manage and lead the TEC Admin and Contracts team and support the capability building of staff through the organisation and/or review of training programs aimed at developing skills/knowledge in IT contract management. 2. Support procurement activities in the unit, following standard processes and contributing to successful procurement IT equipment and services. 3. Build productive relationship with the Government Liaison Unit and the National Telecommunication services to ensure timely delivery of government clearances/licenses related to ICT services. 4. Support the inspection of Telecommunications equipment by NTC and Customs clearance authorities. 5. Maintain regular engagement with Local IT/TC Service Providers and follow up on timely delivery of services and invoices. 6. Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reports of procurement activities, to contribute to a WFP wide view that enables informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders, leading to performance optimization. 7. Perform any other duties as it may be required by the unit.
