UNICEF China and its government partners work to improve the lives of the most vulnerable children. Every child has the right to survive, develop, be protected and participate in family and society. UNICEF collaborates with many partners to help make those rights a reality in China. UNICEF China has many different audiences it needs to reach with accurate, simple and in a creative way to explain why its work for children is important and what it does. To support in this, we need additional resources to produce simple information products to be used in presentation, on the internet, for adaption in social media and for advocacy campaigns.

How can you make a difference?

You will be exposed to the international organization, be briefed on UNICEF culture and core values, and understand how UNICEF works to achieve our mandate for Children. We hope you can support our business and perform the administrative duties as requested. This will include the following:

  • Update the contents of the admin share point to make it up to date.
  • Negotiate and update the hotel list of accommodation and event on the share point.
  • Collaborate with IT unit for the digitalization approaches and solution to realize e-biz for the admin team.
  • Learn and Undertake delivery and improvement in administrative support and office services including transport services, equipment, conference arrangements, low value procurement, protocol services, hotel sourcing and booking, event organizing etc.
  • Prepare invitation letters for international travelers and make hotel reservation if required.
  • Collaborate and participate in the UNICEF Youth team activities.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the supervisor.
  • Backup Admin staff when they are on leave.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in a degree programmed in an undergraduate (above 18 years old) or postgraduate study, majored in knowledge management, information management, information technology or related field(s);
  • Have strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university/colleague or institution records, or, if not available, a reference letter from an academic supervisor.
  • Have no immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office;
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
