Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, dedication

The multidimensional crises Lebanon has faced since late 2019 has disproportionately impacted all population groups in Lebanon and exacerbated existing societal gendered inequalities. Girls along with other vulnerable groups were mostly affected by the multiple crisis, in a global and local context where girls already face increased risk of all forms of child protection violation and GBV, isolation, including growing rates of sexual exploitation and abuse, child marriage and intimate partner violence and they are far less likely to participate in social, economic, and educational activities.

To address the current situation of girls, the Lebanon Country Office (LCO) will accelerate targeted multisectoral, gender transformative girl-driven programming for adolescent girls to promote their leadership, decision making and access to learning, skills and prevention to Gender Based Violence (GBV). This is possible by implementing gender transformative targeted girls’ programming in the Multi-Service Community Centers (MSCC).

Building on the MSCC approach, the LCO will pilot tailored adolescent girls’ targeted gender transformative programming in four MSCCs, where girls will have access to tailored girls’ focused packages, leading to the establishment of girl networks promoting girls’ voice, power, and agency.

To pilot adolescent girls’ programming, the LCO will develop a gender transformative tailored girls’ package from existing youth life skills curriculum and other global and Lebanon focused tailored packages for girls.

The consultant’s main role is to assess the pre-existing youth life skills package and suggest how to make it gender transformative and targeted for girls (possibly adapting and adding sessions if needed). Additionally, the consultant will implement a capacity building plan (training, training manual, coaching) for MSCCs partners who will implement the tailored girls’ package.
