Draft Project Concept Note on a topic identified by the National TNA Coordinator for St. Kitts and Nevis, to be submitted to a climate change financing institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

To support and facilitate the TNA process, under the direct supervision of the National TNA Coordinator in St. Kitts and Nevis, a TNA expert on is being recruited for the execution of activities in relation to climate change adaptation/mitigation, specifically to develop a project concept note for submission to a climate financing institution. Building on the technology Needs Assessment (TNA) report, and the concurrently developed Technology Action Plan (TAP) and project ideas for St. Kitts and Nevis, the consultant will develop a project concept note for “Piloting the Penetration of EV into the National Fleet using renewable energy" in the chosen funding agency’s format.

Qualifications/special skills

• The contractor should possess at least a postgraduate degree in a relevant field for the tasks. Expertise in one or more of the AFOLU, Energy, Waste, Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, Water and Disaster Risk Management sectors. • The contractor should possess at least 5 years of work experience in one or more of the AFOLU, Energy, Waste, Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, Water and Disaster Risk Management sectors or related fields. Special skills/knowledge: • AFOLU, Energy, Waste, Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries, Water and Disaster Risk Management sectors related technologies in the context of the country. The contractor should have extensive knowledge of - and experience with –climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, technologies, and policies at the national level. • Experience with and knowledge of the implementation of the TNA project in St. Kitts and Nevis would be a major advantage.
