Generate financial data for budget forecasting and accounting reconciliation.
You have:
- Experience in financial management, including accounting and financial reporting.
- Ability to prepare budgets and forecasts based on financial data.
- Proficiency in reconciling financial records.
- Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders in financial matters.
- Knowledge of USAID financial policies and procedures.
The functions include generating financial data to be used in the formulation of budget forecasting, the accounting and analysis of both programmatic and operating expense (OE) expenditures. Employee is the primary custodian of all accounting records under his/her portfolio, and as such, he/she periodically reviews and reconciles all technical program and OE accounting records for the USAID/Senegal Mission, the Sahel Regional Mission and its field offices – Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Mauritania - (SRO). The incumbent also prepares periodic reports based on these records and disseminates critical programmatic financial management information to both bilateral and regional Missions Strategic Objective (SO) teams, and other Agency Offices. He/she collaborates with the Regional Controller, Deputy Controller and Chief Accountant to perform ad hoc assignments, and advises Mission Management, and relevant USAID/Washington personnel on programmatic and operational expenditures decisions. Employee also provides various financial management services to the Regional Inspector General (RIG), the West Africa Satellite Office (USAID/WA) and the Mission's ICASS/ASP and other accounts in the aforementioned capacity.
