ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This position sits within the Global Accommodation unit of MSDD and works towards ensuring our colleagues serving in the field have a safe and comfortable place to stay, through quality Accommodation and related services that are provided to the humanitarian community.

WFP provides over 90 guesthouses across 22 countries, offering quality, comfort and safety, and all the necessary utilities like electricity and running water.

The Accommodation Booking Service is an online booking platform that makes it easier for humanitarian workers to find and book WFP-managed accommodation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

The Accommodation Consultant will be reporting to the Customer Support Manager, Flavia Cruciani, and shall perform the following duties:

UN BOOKING HUB

  • Support in keeping information on accommodation up to date both in the UN Booking Hub website and offline database.
  • Contribute to timely providing field support to services’ focal points and website users.
  • Support in drafting effective communication about services provided through the platform.

ACCOMMODATION SERVICES

  • Contribute to successful humanitarian staff booking of accommodation services.
  • Support in the rollout and use of field offices using the accommodation digital office services for both WFP and the other Agencies.
  • Update webinars, training materials, manuals, and communication to provide global guidance on the provided services and new features being implemented.
  • Support in customer satisfaction monitoring of accommodation service managers.

ACCOMMODATION QUALITY STANDARDS IMPLEMENTATION

  • Provide support to monitor activities and draft Implementation Reports, organize project implementation conf calls with the Country Offices.

ACCOMMODATION CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEYS

  • Support the preparation, submittal, answers analysis, and final reporting of the accommodation global customer surveys monitoring the perceived quality of service in our operations by providing insights of strategy pillars and action items to address improvements.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The position is on an international consultancy contract for an initial period of 6 months and it's extendable subject to funding and performance.

WFP offers an attractive compensation and benefits package in line with ICSC standards (http://icsc.un.org) including basic salary, post adjustment, relocation entitlement, visa, travel and shipment allowances, 30 days’ annual leave, home leave, an education grant for dependent children, a pension plan, and medical insurance.
