New tools, processes and governance have been designed to: upgrade and enhance the look and feel, foster system integrations, and streamline the number of public platforms and technologies used. Amongst several objectives, one is to provide UNESCO audiences with a unified and consistent digital experience during their journey. To achieve this, a common Design System has been developed. This Design System aims to be used on public websites - whatever the technology - as well as internal and business applications. Initially developed on Figma, the Design System is now available as HTML format in order to provide developers and application owners with an interactive interface of the various components. Long Description ---------------- SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT Under the overall authority of the Director for Communications, the guidance of the Digital Team and, and under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Consultant will: - Finalize the design system to a fully stable and usable version. - Document the design system and participate in its promotion. - Support and guide UNESCO users (as well as partner’s agencies) in using the design system for the ongoing projects. - Participate in the development of a solid governance approach. Long Description ---------------- Regular tasks will include: - Review and audit of the current design system outputs (Figma and HTML). - Create new blocks, templates on Figma. - Create and update templates using Bootstrap, Html, CSS, JS. - Create simple HTML / Twig templates. - Support site owners for their specific blocs or templates with Figma projections and examples of code and templates. - Meeting with external developers and/or other internal stakeholders.
