This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Implement the MINUSCA technical support to the ANE Provincial Executive Secretariat (Secretariat Exécutif Provincial/SEP) in each province;  Assist the ANE in planning and implementing activities and coordinating at provincial level;  Proactively participate in meetings of the security task force;  Provide support and advice for the strengthening of technical skills for the team of ANE;  Contribute to effective coordination between ANE and MINUSCA electoral integrated team when required, at the provincial level;  Monitor the electoral operation in coverage zones, provide information and draft reports on the progress of operations to the MINUSCA provincial electoral office coordinator;  Support the flow of information between ANE headquarters and the Provincial Executive Secretaries to ensure the execution of decisions and guidelines;  Assess, with ANE partners, current or past operations and identifies administrative and other operational issues;  Support the ………… for a better coordination in the execution of operational activities, and in dialoguing with the election stakeholders;  Undertake capacity building and coaching, mentoring and formal on-the-job training, when working closely with ANE teams, for contribution to the organization of free, fair and transparent elections;  Any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Education - Additional Comments:

sciences, in public administration, business administration, engineering or relevant discipline with a strong logistics component.

Required experience:

36 Months

Experience remark:

At least 3 years of experience in the electoral domain, in particular in the in developing countries, the experience acquired in the field of multilateral or international missions being privileged Capacity to adapt to the specific realities of the host country. Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team To show evidence of ability to plan and to organize one’s own work. To be capable to write clearly and concisely and to express themselves orally. Capacity to interact, to establish and to maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, the hierarchical structure and with colleagues of different cultures.

Language skills:

  • French(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Working Knowledge
