Unilateral Coercive Measure Consultant
Result of Service- The purpose of the current consultancy work is to Peer- review the methodological note, the overall conceptual framework, data collection and data analysis
Work Location Beirut
Expected duration The assignment will be delivered in month and a half from the signature date of the contract
Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Programme Manager of the National Agenda for Syria Programme, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties: - Peer- review the methodological note, the overall conceptual framework, data collection and data analysis. - Write two pagers about the importance a methodology in research on sanctions - Conduct Semi Structured interviews for the report (up to 15 interviews) and provide summaries and inputs to the analysis
Qualifications/special skills Skills: Proven knowledge and experience in reviewing executive reports and policy briefs in the international sanctions research area are required. Proven knowledge of the Syrian conflict and Syria's economic and social sectors, and institutions is desirable. Established publications record is required Academic Qualifications: Post-graduate degree in economics, political science, political economy, development studies, social studies, or a related area, preferably a PhD, is required. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in security and international relational studies, political economy analysis or other related fields is required. Language: Fluency in English is required.
