Result of Service- The purpose of the current consultancy work is to Consolidate the literature review sections with the one synthesis report, ensuring coherence, consistency in language and terminology, remove duplication as well as identifying and addressing gaps.

Work Location Beirut

Expected duration The assignment will be up to 5 days starting from the signature date of the contract

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Programme Manager of the National Agenda for Syria Programme, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties: - Review the structure, sequencing of the literature review and the main report - Consolidate the literature review sections with the one synthesis report, ensuring coherence, consistency in language and terminology, remove duplication as well as identifying and addressing gaps. - Suggest a set of recommendations - Coordinate and liaise with NAFS PM on the relevant information required to produce the final report.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Proven knowledge and experience in reviewing executive reports and policy briefs in the international sanctions research area are required. Proven knowledge of the Syrian conflict and Syria's economic and social sectors, and institutions is desirable. Established publications record is required. Academic Qualifications: Post-graduate degree in economics, political science, political economy, development studies, social studies, or a related area, preferably a PhD, is required. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in security and international relational studies, political economy analysis or other related fields is required. Language: Fluency in English is required.
