Translation of a part of a high-level forum summary report from French to English

The task of a volunteer is to help translation from French to English. A volunteer will watch a video and/or listen to a recording of the High-level Forum of Directors General for Development Cooperation (DG Forum), a one-day event focused on South-South and triangular cooperation, held in December 2019 and translate a certain French parts into English. The French part is around 20 minutes in total and will be only one page in total. The DG Forum brought together leaders from cooperation agencies of national governments to provide an opportunity to exchange views on South-South and triangular cooperation approaches and methodologies. In the 2019 DG Forum, around 80 representatives from government, UN agencies and other partners joined. Through this task, a volunteer will learn more about development cooperation in various countries.

• Translation and interpretation

  A volunteer will help contributing to the DG Forum summary report. The DG Forum was held in 2019, where good practices of South-South and triangular cooperation and SDGs were discussed. A volunteer will contribute to translation of French parts into English (the length for translation will be one page). The final version of the summary report will be shared among practitioners of South-South and triangular cooperation.

  Fluency in English and French is required. Good understanding of development cooperation would be an asset.
