Job Description

Background of the Project:

This is a short-term position for a Technology resource to design, configure, and implement a Health Case Management system for the Lebanon HEALTH program, and specifically for the community-based health component and health outreach activities.

Scope of work:

The selected candidate will develop an application using CommCare that covers the following:

- Patients’ medical and social information registration.

- Scheduling beneficiaries and household visits. - Assigning and tracking Services provided to beneficiaries - Internal and External referrals. - Health Surveys including the content of awareness messages helping the enumerators lead the conversation with beneficiaries. - Reports and queries related to the community activities and beneficiaries served.

The selected person will hold iterative meetings with HEALTH focal points and advise (when needed) for additional functionalities and enhancements of the workflow. S/he will provide staff with instructions on the application.

Deliverables:

- A final stable version of the application that meets the above requirements (after testing and/or piloting).

- Training for the end-users on the application usage with respect to their roles.

Payment:

Payments will be settled upon the completion of the above-mentioned deliverables in monthly instalments.

Qualifications

- Experience in CommCare is a MUST - Experience with software development (Object Oriented). - In-depth knowledge of ODK tools & standards. - Familiarity with XML, JSON and XPath Expressions. - Preferable experience with SQL and Java. - Advanced level of knowledge of CommCare platform – building applications, different users types, roles, org chart, case sharing, groups… - Generic knowledge of Relational databases, schemas, models… - Experience in Project Management – SCRUM methodology (Scope, Design, Backlog, Iterative meetings…). - Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Ability to train staff on the use of technology including translating technical terms into common language. - Self-starter – capability of working autonomously with minimal dependency. - Minimum 2 years of work experience in International Humanitarian or development field. - Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to efficiently liaise with colleagues on all levels in a distributed, multicultural, detail-oriented environment.

Language Proficiency:

- English: Excellent writing and oral communication. - Arabic: Excellent writing and oral communication.
