Objectives of the Programme:

The main objective of this position is to provide technical assistance to ITAGI secretariat in collaborating with global and national stakeholders to obtain latest evidence on immunization, summarizing and disseminating of ITAGI analysis and recommendation to the Ministry of Health Indonesia and strengthen data analyze on available studies on immunization relevant to national context.

Summary of Assigned Duties:

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the WHO Representative to Indonesia (WR) and direct supervision of the Medical Officer/Team Lead of EPI/IVD Unit, and in close collaboration and coordination with ITAGI, the incumbent will be responsible of:

  • Producing quality summary of latest guidance, study and other country practices on routine immunization, new vaccines, and COVID-19 vaccine
  • Update and maintain database of MOH request, ITAGI activities, analysis, and recommendation
  • Coordinate with Immunization Directorate of MOH and other relevant stakeholders to disseminate analysis and recommendation of ITAGI to relevant key person
  • Supporting data analysis of global and national studies on immunization, especially on implementation of routine immunization and new vaccines
  • Assist in managing regular ITAGI meeting on challenges and best practices of immunization program also other relevant issues
  • Assist in obtaining national data analysis of immunization and VPD surveillance
  • Providing technical assistance in completing annual ITAGI report and presentation for SEAR-ITAG meeting and other global meetings
  • Coordinate with IVD unit WHO Indonesia on latest global and national policy and recommendation of immunization program

Specific Activities:

  • Active searching of latest guidance, study, and other country practices
  • Review and summarize guidance, recommendation, practices in concise manner
  • Compiling ITAGI analysis, recommendation, and activities
  • Regular coordination with Immunization Directorate MOH and other national stake holders to obtain national immunization and VPD surveillance data, vaccine stock and production, also activity planning
  • Draft and finalize ITAGI presentation and report for regional and global meetings
  • Analyze immunization study and develop summary in presentation and narrative
  • Coordinate and manage weekly, monthly, and annual ITAGI meeting

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ETC.

Education Qualifications:

Essential: University degree in medicine (medical doctor) from recognized institution

Desirable: Postgraduate degree in Public Health from recognized institution

Experience:

Essential: At least two-year experience in public health programs, preferably in Immunization, or clinical work (exclude intern period)

Desirable: Four years’ experience in managing public health, preferably in Immunization and VPD surveillance

Remuneration

Between IDR 25,708,600 and 41,419,267 monthly (in accordance with WHO Salary Scale for SSA).
