Org. Setting and Reporting The incumbent reports to Chief Field of Education Program

Responsibilities Contributes to the overall planning and management of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) functional area/s in close collaboration with the supervisor; develops work plan(s) and ensures timely, efficient and effective implementation of these plans towards the achievement of outputs, outcomes, and alignment with programme priorities;

Monitors and assesses the implementation of activities related to TVET functions; prepares monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports;

Contributes to, and participates actively in the implementation of, the Education Strategies and Policies related to the TVET;

Coordinates, as necessary, the implementation of his/her assigned functional area/s with internal and external stakeholders thereby contributing to quality, equitable and inclusive education;

Conducts research and analysis in his/her assigned functional area/s and provides input to ensure that initiatives and activities are evidence-based; develops briefing materials for senior management and external stakeholders, as require

Supports the integration of UNRWA cross-cutting issues (gender, protection, youth, Human Rights and inclusion) by mainstreaming them into his/her assigned functional area/s;

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).

Education University degree in a relevant social sciences or related subject. (Master Degree holders with four years of relevant experience may be considered)

Work Experience Required at least five years professional experience in the relevant functional area, in education institutions.(Master Degree holders with four years of relevant experience may be considered)

Languages Very good command of spoken and written English and Arabic

Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.

Type of contract and duration: Limited Duration Contract (LDC) Band F for 6 months, with the possibility of further extension, subject to availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing needs.

This vacancy notice is open to internal and external candidates. Only candidates residing in Lebanon, and within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible to apply. The Agency will not assume responsibility or accountability to support or facilitate the issuance of work permit in Lebanon, and without a valid work permit, the appointment may be rescinded.

Conditions of service: Monthly basic salary USD 1,674.00 +USD 167 Special Allowances.

Other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, pre-rated to he duration of the contract where less than one year and family allowance (if applicable).
