Teaching online English classes for the Girls in MOC, Kenya

We are looking for volunteers to conduct online English classes for the young women (aged between 16 to 24 years) for our Kenya project. The goal of these classes is to make the participants communicate fearlessly, recognize their strengths, and most importantly develop the confidence to pursue their goals. Classes will be conducted on 2 consecutive days. Class timings are 2pm to 3pm Kenya time. The MOCs Community Development Bureau is a community based, knowledge focused development agency working with partners across the globe to enrich and sustain lives of the poor through empowerment. At MOCs, the focus is on supporting women from broken families, victims of teenage pregnancy and those affected by HIV/AIDS through vocational training, life-skills coaching and setup of sustainable income generation initiatives.

  The mission of Ann Foundation is to give the right platform and learning opportunities to children, youth, physically disabled, and the underprivileged to attain their highest potential in their lives. Offering online English, Personality Development and basic computer literacy classes is part of our literacy project for children and young adults in various countries around the world. The knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens.

• 6-10 hours per week / 26 weeks

  Volunteers should be committed and be proficient in both English and Swahili. Class timings are 2pm-3pm, Kenya time. Please apply only if these timings are suitable for you. Applicants without CV will be rejected. Note: Both Swahili and English language is required for this opportunity.
