Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

UNV is expanding its operation with UN Entities in Bulgaria as a response to Ukraine crisis and therefore is seeking for volunteer engagement among Bulgarians and Ukrainians living in Bulgaria. The selected Online Volunteers will help UNV to reach out to a wide range of candidates in Bulgaria and contribute through local language and partnership development skills with the partners and communities (non-governmental and volunteer initiative organizations (NGOs & VIOs), universities, youth centers and the respective platforms) in Bulgaria.

We are looking for support in;

1) building a database of NGOs, VIOs, universities, youth centers and specified communities around different cities (mainly Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad or other related cities such as Sofia) in Bulgaria in order to broadening the candidate sourcing methods; 2) informing the potential candidates about the conditions and allowances/entitlements of onsite UN Volunteer assignments including the creation of profiles in UNV Talent Pool for non-English speakers; 3) contact with the built database to ensure the proper outreach and recognition of onsite and paid UN Volunteer assignments among the target groups.

Online Volunteers will be requested to conduct phone calls to identified partners and potential talents during the assignment, thus, candidates in Bulgaria are strongly encouraged to apply. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual & short interview and guided comprehensively about the expectations before start to the tasks.

Upon completion, the online volunteer will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for her/his contributions.

Interpersonal communications skills; Research and reporting skills; Computer literacy (excel and search engine tools); Experience in volunteer engagement and partnerships outreach such as with NGOs or universities will be highly desirable.
