Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Our region in Cameroon has been experiencing an armed conflict since 2017. The conflict has negatively affected lives with more than 70% of schools closed and thousands of children put out of school. Hundreds of villages and homes have been raised by flames. The result has been an increased vulnerability of children especially young girls to trafficking and exploitation in the sexual and domestic services sectors. The Norwegian Refugee Council has classified the conflict as the most neglected in the world for the third year running. GLOWA is presently engaged in the development of modules and tools to help in the provision of vocational training to rescued victims of child trafficking and other vulnerable young people especially in the restive North West Region of Cameroon

GLOWA is a counter trafficking organization that provides rehabilitation services to rescued victims, survivors and vulnerable potential victims. Our target group demands special attention and care to fully recover. As such we are developing a customized vocational training package for people who have suffered abuses such as our program participants. GLOWA is seeking the help of a program manager to oversee the process of developing modules and tools that can meet the needs of children and women coming out of slavery.

The Program Manager for Training is the team leader for the process of developing the needed tools that will ensure the long term sustainable recovery for abused children through trafficking in persons. As such s/he should have good leadership and communication skills to enable him/her to communicate effectively with the team working on the project
