Who are we?

The Standby Roster (Humanitarian Strategic Surge Capacity) is a team within the Programme, Policy & External Relations Department of the Danish Refugee Council. For thirty years, the Standby Roster has assisted UN agencies around the world by deploying experts to fill short-term capacity gaps in humanitarian emergencies. The term roster implies a list of carefully recruited and trained professionals, who are ready to be deployed at short notice. The Standby Roster team manages three deployment schemes for UN operations globally: The Humanitarian Response Roster, the Resettlement Roster and the Registration Roster.
