The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent, non-profit, humanitarian organization. Since the onset of the war in Ukraine, we have seen a large-scale of displacement of Ukrainians fleeing to the neighbouring countries. In response to this, NRC is in the process of setting up humanitarian operations for refugees arriving in Poland, Romania, and Moldova. We are focusing on an integrated approach that combines our sectoral areas of expertise – education, protection, urban displacement outside camps, legal aid (ICLA) and shelter – with the needs of a mobile refugee population, working to a great extent through local partners.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Management Officer based in Warsaw Transit Site. The SM Officer is responsible for implementation of NRC’s Transit Site project in Warsaw, Poland. This project will use Protection/ Camp Management methodologies to provide support to the transit site by East Warsaw Train Station, which is accommodating refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. The project aims to improve the protection and assistance response to displacement-affected communities by establishing mechanisms to enhance: The SM Officer will be responsible for supervising all mobile outreach work taking place in the Transit Site, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Transit Site Tents and coordinating with relevant local stakeholders.
