The Safe Programming Coordinator is responsible for supporting NRC Iraq Central Area Office programme management with mainstreaming and rolling out new Safe Programming tools, SOPs, and guidelines in line with NRC’s global Safe Programming Policy standards. The Safe Programming Coordinator will work with programme and support teams to develop and/or contextualize Safe Programming mainstreaming tools and guidance to ensure it is integrated within programme cycle management. The Coordinator will identify gaps in terms of field-based Safe Programming support and hold regular meetings with identified Programme referral focal points to ensure quality in NRC’s response to Safe Programming needs including protection issues. The Coordinator will develop strong working relationships with protection actors to ensure referral pathways. The Coordinator will also be the primary focal point for complex protection cases taking on direct case management responsibility if and when required.
