BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Within the context of the Digital Transformation of WFP’s engagement with NGO partners, the Roll-out and Scale-up positions will be responsible of ensuring the successful adoption of WFP’s flagship products targeted to Partners and field staff for effective partnership management. Closely working with the CP management function at Regional, Country and Sub-Office level, as well as with the digital transformation team in Nairobi and Rome, the assigned will develop and maintain a deployment plan; plan the roll-out process, including training, change management, stakeholder management, feedback collection and analysis, support to flag and resolve issues experienced by the users in a timely manner and with a continuous iteration and improvement approach. The assignee will work under the general supervision and guidance of the NGO Partnership unit Digital Project Coordinator.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or other relevant field
  • Agile Certification is desirable

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Planning and Delivery

  1. Support on the delivery of the solution to end users in accordance with established overall project objectives and business strategies and requirements while coordinating the overall planning.
  2. Manage change management methodology with end-users including appropriate materials to augment training and support.
  3. Manage business expectations in deploying the solution, improve ability of the business to adapt capabilities, and oversee in collaboration with the project team the success of business change initiatives.
  4. Seek ongoing opportunities to support/increase business value from use of the product for product manager review and providing quality feedback.
  5. Work with a team of staff, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure appropriate planning and delivery of the solution, including the data component.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Training and Support

  1. Train end users on delivered tools and dashboards to ensure knowledge handover to relevant business teams including decisions on Training of Trainers and proper change management needs;
  2. Liaise with the product coordinator, product management and service support teams to ensure service support levels are maintained;
  3. Report progress and issues to all project team, as well as establish systematic product feedback channel;

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience and/or certifications in project management and/or business analysis would be a significant advantage, including in the area of Agile project management.
  • IT background or solid knowledge of IT is desirable.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in digital transformation, using user experience to solve problems in unconventional ways.
  • Good knowledge of WFP’s IT landscape and its related processes/procedures would be an advantage.
  • Analytical skills and ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses.

Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-ethic environments.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

5 years or more of relevant progressive work experience, including experience in:

  • Analysis and re-design of business processes or applications;
  • Coordination and management of small or medium projects at HQ/central and Field Office;
  • Working with teams and team processes;
  • Assistance with change management procedures, activities, and processes at HQ/central and/or Field Office;
  • Implementation of IT systems or data solutions preferably in the humanitarian sector and WFP.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT

  1. Demonstrated progress on delivery of corporate solutions with tracking of activities as per CO digital roadmap.
  2. Product artefacts like training guides, regular CO/partner user and status updates, and related data tools as required.

LANGUAGUES

One position will require Fluency (level C) in English language and Fluency (level C) in French. Other position will require Fluency (level C) in English language and Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese as desirable
