The task requires the Online Volunteers to research and provide information on Papua New Guinea's participation in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) for the Rights of Women in the country. Online Volunteers are asked specifically to look at which treaties, conventions and commitments the country had signed, had fulfilled and have failed to fulfil. Additional review will look at which NGOs have participated in past advocacy work towards the UPR, what they have achieved and what they have not achieved. The information will be used by a joint Coalition of CSOs in the country to carry out further review and advocacy work needed by the Coalition Organisation.

    The Foundation together with a team of Community Service Organisation in the country are forming a joint coalition to ensure the country fulfils its obligation under international women rights treaties like CEDAW, CAT to ensure the women/girls in the country are protected.

  • Volunteers: 3 needed

  • 11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks

    The Foundation is looking for candidates who are well verse with the process involved in Universal Periodic Review, CEDAW, CAT and other women rights treaties. He or she must have been involved in advocacy work to promote and advance women rigths.
