    How can you make a difference?

UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking national consultants to provide editing/copyediting support for the Thai language version of communication, and other programme materials such as human interest stories, articles, reports, UNICEF publications, etc.

Work Assignment:

In support of the Communication section planned activities, the consultant(s) will undertake the following work assignments:

1. Undertake overall copyediting of the Thai-language document to ensure accuracy of spelling and grammar

2. Ensure consistency of writing style throughout the document

3. Ensure consistent and logical flow of ideas and arguments throughout the document

4. Employ appropriate referencing styles if required

5. Identify and flag areas lacking clarity for correction/improvement

6. Identify potential redundancies that can be removed

7. Suggest ways text can be presented in a format more appealing/easy to understand to target audiences

Work Schedule: The consultant(s) will work for approximately no more than 10 days per month. Payment will be made by the end of the month based on number of pages of documents.

End Products: Satisfactory of work for each assignment which is ready to use as Communication material

Duration of Contract: 1 October 2022 - 15 September 2023 (with possibility of extension)

Official Travel: No travel required

Work Location: The consultant(s) will work from his/her premises.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

- Outstanding written and spoken of Thai and English

- Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in writing/editing Thai-language direct mails, human-interest stories/articles, reports and publications

- Prior work experience with UNICEF and familiarity with UNICEF style, quality, and brand guidelines is a plus

- Familiar with children issues or social issues is a plus

- Strong analytical skills, knowledge, and sound judgement
