At WFP, we are looking for talented Programme Associate (M&E Information Management), in our offices in ( 01 EL Fasher ) in Sudan, to be hired on a Fixed Term Contract at the G6 level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Programming data collection tools in using corporate software and open source software like ODK, Kobo, Ona etc.
  • Providing technical support to Area Offices and Third-Party Monitors (TPM) staff in the electronic data collection.
  • Managing the M&E data server and dashboards.
  • Developing and managing databases for process and outcome monitoring data
  • Liaising with the IT unit to ensure that software and hardware resources used by M&E unit comply with IT corporate standards.
  • Visualisation of M&E findings using Tableau, Power BI and Excel.
  • Contribute to the analysis of data from process and outcome monitoring as well as ad hoc studies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports on process and outcome monitoring activities as well as ad hoc studies and assessments.
  • Contribute towards corporate reporting internally and to external stakeholders including donors through timely provision of information on performance indicators.
  • Liaise with internal counterparts (Country Office Technical Units, M&E, Area Offices & Field Office staff) to support effective monitoring of programme activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions including Third Party Monitors (TPMs) to ensure appropriate monitoring of programme activities.
  • Support the capacity building of WFP staff in Area/Field Offices (AOs/FOs), cooperating partners and national government staff in the field of monitoring and evaluation.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Completion of secondary school education and a post-secondary certificate or diploma in the related functional area and five years of working experience in a related field. Language: Fluency in both English and Arabic.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience in programming of electronic data collection tools
  • Experience in developing and maintaining databases.
  • Experience, on interactive data visualization, and reporting techniques
  • Good technical knowledge and hardware skills such tablets and computers.
  • Experience in using Power BI, Tableau and other data visualisation software.
  • Experience in analysis of quantitative data and recommending improvements to programme interventions
  • Experience in producing reports with status of results.
  • Experience in data collection, monitoring, evaluations and assessments in the field.
