Procurement Specialist (E-Tendering)
Organizational Setting

The Procurement Service provides advice, guidance and oversight for FAO procurement operations and the Letter of
Agreement Quality Assurance function both at headquarters and in FAO decentralized offices; it provides policy and
operational support to ensure that the Organization procures goods, works and services based on "Best Value for Money"
principles.
Reporting Lines
The Consultant reports to the Procurement Business Analyst and the CSLP, Chief.
Technical Focus
Sourcing process and electronic tendering system support. Procurement process support and Contract Management.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Administrative support for the deployment and use of the UNGM/In-Tend e-tendering and vendor management platform to FAO Country offices.
- Triage issues and requests for assistance raised by Procurement Units across the world during Sourcing process and using the electronic tendering systems, facing problems with analytical mindset and advise on how to proceed or escalate the issue as appropriate, managing day to day interactions with In-Tend and UNGM support teams for system-related issues.
- Provide training to new buyers and users of the electronic tendering platform. Initiate and coordinate outreach and communication-related activities; review and contribute to the development of learning materials, conduct training workshops, and make presentations on assigned topics/activities.
- Assist in extracting and analysing tender and procurement data to fulfil monitoring data requests and complement the same with statistical insights.
- Overall support to Long Term Agreement (LTA) Contract Managers in management of correct execution of individual procurement actions.
- Other relevant tasks that may be required.
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Business, Administration, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information systems or any other related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience in the area of procurement processes and systems support.
- Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two or Arabic, Chinese, Russian. (for PSA it can be required only one language)

Technical/Functional Skills
- Extent and relevance of experience in business administration, procurement, management, and system support.
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work, or evidence of work experience with other UN entities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data analysis, business intelligence tools, ERP Systems would be an asset.
