Pharmacist Duty station: Dnipro, with frequent travel to Odessa

Key working relationships:

Position Reports to: Health Coordinator Position directly manages: N/A Internal collaborations within IRC: Health Managers, Mobile Health clinic staff and other departments

Job Overview/Summary:

Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a pharmacy storage, including dispensing medication to Mobile Health Clinics and ensure the safe storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances. In this role His/Her duties will include managing and controlling the pharmacy’s inventory and executing supply orders for Mobile Health Clinics and ensures daily checkup of materials and drugs used and replenishes them accordingly in close collaboration with MHC staff Under the direct supervision of the Health Coordinator, the PhM Manager will also coordinate with the Technical Advisor as necessary.

Specifically, the Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for: Major Responsibilities:

- Preparing drugs/boxes for Mobile Health Clinics on daily basis - Ordering pharmacy supplies and controlling the inventory on a daily basis - Enforcing best practice protocols when storing drugs and medical equipment - Responsible for furnishing with necessary drugs/equipment of 5 Mobile Health Clinics in Dnipro or Odessa - Maintaining an approved drug, equipment and controlled substances list and verify expiry dates. - Plans and manages pharmaceutical goods for mobile units, including, patient services in consultation with health managers and health coordinator - Actively participate in coordination mechanisms, represent the IRC in the Health cluster (when assigned) - Participate in primary health care needs assessments as necessary among the conflict affected populations, with specific emphasizes on pharmaceutical supply needs for NCDs and SRH. - Contribute to the development and implementation of health strategy for the Ukraine response. - Participate in developing a community awareness package in coordination with the health promotion team. - Work closely with the health managers and mobile clinic staff to ensure availability of WHO essential medications at mobile clinics at all time - Engages in schedule for the mobile unit to ensure smooth operations - Support in developing and implements strategies for improving access, quality standards, effectiveness, and participation based on statistical results, evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees. - Performs other duties as assigned. Partner Management - Work closely with project coordinators in designing interventions, monitor their implementation and provide supportive supervision. - Ensure of regular performance monitoring plan of partners to achieve the set project’s objectives; provide technical support and guidance. - Arrange meetings with implementing partners to discuss program implementation cycle and understand the challenges and barriers that might delay the progress.

Documentation and Reporting: - Support the development and implementation of data collection in coordination with M&E (e.g. client satisfaction measures) for availability and dispensed drugs. - Participate in preparation of internal and external reports, including submission of weekly reports to Health Coordinator. - Support project staff to maintain program records and documentation as per project management minimum standards, including maintaining the confidentiality and security patient data - Perform other duties as assigned by the Health Coordinator

Requirements: - Degree in Pharmacy - State-approved license to practice as a pharmacist - In-depth knowledge of the pharmacological uses of prescription drugs and controlled substances - Proven experience as a pharmacist - Demonstrable experience in a managerial position - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Language: Bilingual in Ukrainian and Russian desired and excellent verbal and writing skills in English - Strong experience in supervision, training and or coaching others. - Experience working with partners to implement programming - Ability to work within a team structure, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources - Excellent command of the use of Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Work, Excel and Power Point - Good communication, teamwork skills and ability to work independently
