Background:

The External Relations (ER) department is a key team at the International Rescue Committee, responsible for how the world perceives and interacts with this indispensable organization. The Operations Analyst is a member of the Business Operations and Analytics team within and supporting ER. This team is the backbone of the department and provides quality assurance and financial planning, analytics and operations support for all of ER.

Job Overview:

The Operations Analyst supports the overall Global Donations Operations Team. This position is primarily responsible for making sure the organization has the right tools, the good processes, and the required system configurations to absorb all the donations flows. Thus, they play an active role in analyzing current technology, and systems to develop new business requirements as needed. They also work closely with IT team to resolve any technical or system issues and perform overall QA testing to ensure it meets our business needs. Overall, they have a critical function to support the team mandate, which focuses on integrating donations and data with a high level of compliancy. The Operations Analyst is a dynamic, technical, and self-motivated teammate who is excited dive into troubleshooting.

Major Responsibilities:

- Analyze data collection, processing and operation procedures - Support new donations platforms set-up - Perform proactive quality control and rigorous end-to-end testing, pre configurations changes in Salesforce

· Surface data, process, and technology issues through identification and measurement

- Formulate and redefine business requirements to accommodate change in business processes - Develop working relationships with internal working counterparts (IT and Finance) to facilitate productive exchanges of information to improve efficiency and promote compliance - Guide, train, and equip the team with change management to ensure the understanding and adoption of common methodology and standard across market - Payment gateway supervisor - Participate in special projects as needed

Position Reports to: Associate Director, Global Donations Operations (who reports to the Director, Financial Planning and Management)

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with a financial, technical, or other relevant degree

· 2 years+ of work in non-profit fundraising, development operations, advancement services, or related field

- Broad knowledge of fundraising databases, data integrity, payment gateway systems - Demonstrated experience with Salesforce - Advanced technical skills including proficiency with Excel and MS Office tools; SQL database experience a plus - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to devise creative solutions to complex issues - Organized, highly detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Demonstrated ability to collaborative and create relationships with different teams - Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

Working Environment:

This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.
