OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

Partie integrante du Service desRessources Humaines, le Service Medical AFRO a pour objectif de prodiguer des soins medicaux et infirmiers de 1ere necessite au personnel et personnes a charge vivant au Djoue et aux alentours y comprisle suivi de la sante du staff OMS de toute la region africaine.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

En tant qu'infirmier(e) du service medical HMS, l'interesse(e) doit :1)Participer au bon fonctionnement de l'infirmerie: - Assurer l'entretien de l'infirmerie et de son equipement. - Assurer la sterilisation du materiel. - Etablir et exploiter des statistiques mensuelles. - Maintenir a jour l'inventairedu service medical.2) Participer aux activites medicales et paramedicales du service- Appuyer la prise en chargedes urgences en etroite collaboration avec l'equipe de securite et les medecins du service medical. - Assurer les soins aux victimes d'un accident du travail. - Assurer une reponse adequate a toute personne se presentantau Service Medical (premiers soins, reference vers les structures medicales en ville ou aux medecins du HMS). -Apporter un appui dans la relation d'aide et de soutien psychologique aux employes en etroite Collaboration avec les autres membres de l'equipe. - Faire les prises de sang au cours des examens d'embauche et examens periodiques, verifier les vaccinations a cette occasion. - Donner les conseils pre et post test VIH.- Maintenir a jour les dossiers medicaux.- Preparer les employes en partance en mission : verifier l'avis d'aptitude medicale. Administrer les vaccinations appropriees en se referant aux recommandations de l'OMS. Decider de la prophylaxie antipaludique adaptee, se referer au medecin au besoin. Prodiguer les conseils aux voyageurs (conseils d'hygiene, de prevention, expliquer et remettre la trousse medicale, moustiquaire). Reguler les appels Telephonique (consultations telephoniques.Prise de rendez-vous, orientation). - Assurer une permanence medicale (en dehors des heures de service) pour les grandes reunions tenues au Bureau regional a la demande de l'organisation.3) Participeraux activites de promotion de la sante au Travail : - campagnes annuelles devaccination contre la grippe. -campagnes a themes (ex : journees mondiales de la sante). - visites de poste (ergonomie) et donner les conseilsappropries. - Formation des employes aux gestes de premiers secours dans le cadre du secourisme autravail et dans le cadre des preparations aux missions.4) Tenue et mise a jour quotidienne des donneesdes soins infirmiers dans la base de donneescommune du service medical a « Preventiel ».

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Diplome d'etat d'infirmier(e). Moniteur des premiers secours (souhaitable). Desirable:

Experience

Essential: Au moins huit (8) ans de pratique hospitaliere. Au moins deux (2) ans de pratique dans un service medical des Nations Unies ou dans un service pratiquant la medecine du travail. Desirable: Experience professionnelle dans un pays en voie de developpement.

Skills

Tres bonnes connaissances despratiques et techniques des soins infirmiers. Aptitude a traite tout dossier medical avec confidentialite. Apte a utiliser le materiel medical (defibrillateur, electrocardiogramme, sterilisateur:). Capacite a lire et comprendre les rapports medicaux, les documents officiels de l'OMS. Etre capable de rediger et de s'exprimer oralement de faconclaire et concise. Capacite a formerd'autres personnes notamment dans le cadre du secourisme, des gestes de premiers secours, de la medecine du voyage, des mesures d'hygiene, la prophylaxie vaccinale et anti palustre et l'ergonomie. Aptitude atravailler dans un environnement multiculturel. La Connaissance de la medecine du travail serait souhaitable.

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at XAF 11,368,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
