National Consultant on Data Quality Assurance
Organizational Setting
The project “Development of sustainable and inclusive local agro-food systems in north-west region of Azerbaijan” aims to establish local agro-food systems that integrate sustainable food production, processing, marketing, distribution and consumption supported by a demand driven agricultural advisory services system in the north-west region of Azerbaijan (Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan). Technical Focus
In this context, under the overall supervision of the Head of FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan, direct supervision of the Assistant to FAO Representative and the technical supervision of the Lead Technical Officer, the consultant will assist in development of project reports, including progress reports, final report, activity completion reports, value chain analysis, and other relevant reports. The consultant will specifically carry out the following functions:
Tasks and responsibilities
• Review and ensure quality of all data obtained and reflected in project reports • Obtain relevant, current, accurate, and technically sound information to shape project reports • Validate all data utilized for development of project and activity reports • Provide consultation to the project team and service providers on reporting standards and due formats • Provide assistance to report writers by reviewing and improving the reports • Provide timely reporting outlines and final reports • Facilitate internal workshop sessions for report development • Design graphics, include photos and maps to enhance and support reporting narrative • Work with the project teams to gain understanding of the project activities processes • Write, revise, and/or edit reports as needed • Perform other relevant duties as assigned
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
• An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant field, • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in food technology sector; • Language proficiency in both written and oral English is required. • National of Azerbaijan or resident in the country with a regular work permit.
