You have:
- At least eight (8) years of experience in management consulting, financial analysis, strategy or in other similar multinational business / corporate organization.
- Strong experience in corporate finance and financial analysis.
- Experience in establishing corporate governance and management functions in commercial entities (such as internal audit, risk management, HR, finance, procurement, etc.)
- Advanced skills in gathering and cleaning data and conducting analysis including financial modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Advanced skills in generating documents such as concept notes, plans and reports for senior management.
- Proficient in leading and coordinating responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to work independently and think strategically.
- Skilled in translating strategic issues into concrete, actionable plans with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at developing and nurturing relationships with a broad spectrum of mid to senior-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally VBA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Education: Bachelor’s in economics, business, or finance. Master’s in business administration, economics or finance is a plus.

Role Summary
The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advisor to join its team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) Subsidiary Transformation Program (STP).
The STP is a flagship initiative designed to transform EIH's subsidiaries into more productive, efficient, competitive, and export-oriented businesses. This comprehensive program encompasses three distinct phases:
- Recovery and Turnaround: arresting decline and reversing loss of distressed companies.
- Stabilization: set long term vision and strategy to stabilize subsidiaries that are experiencing performance variability and/ or weakening business viability
- Acceleration: set medium- and high-performing subsidiaries on faster performance trajectory so they can become domestic and international champions.
The Advisor/Manager will work closely with the EIH Senior Management and STP Program Directors and other team members to develop and implement program strategies, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and monitor and evaluate program progress. Currently, the TBI team provides advisory support to EIH on strengthening investment management and state-owned enterprises (portfolio companies) reform functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of program strategies for all three phases of the STP program.
- Support development of results tracking system for program including tools and processes.
- Support on developing KPIs and targets at impact, outcome, and output levels of the program.
- Define process, framework, and tools to set baseline and to assess progress, and prepare regular reports for EIH management and other stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis on topics such as corporate governance, financial performance, and market trends.
- Review financial models for debt & equity valuation and return assessments and provide necessary guidance and recommendation to the team and management.
- Undertake company, sector, and economic research & analysis to inform EIH’s ownership goals for subsidiaries and shareholder opinion on subsidiary performance priorities.
- Monitor relevant market trends & developments.
- Review and assess portfolio company performance information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by EIH Senior Management.
Personal Specifications
