The Opportunity The Manager will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager- CSESI who will provide guidance on coordination, quality delivery and organizing effective events on the Climate Smart Education initiative. The Manager will support to the Senior manager to work with Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Primary & Mass Education (MoPME) to enhance their capacities for climate smart education and documentation of cross sectoral coordination on climate and environment-related issues. The Manager will assist the Senior Manager to support MoE and MoPME in designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting in the context of relevant climate Smart Education initiatives. The role will assist to coordinate the implementation of high-quality Climate Smart Education initiative at policy and other levels ensuring and demonstrating impact for children in both emergency and development programming. The Manager will assist to facilitate documentation of the process, lessons, and best practices and use evidence to inform better programming of sustainable climate change programs in Bangladesh. The Manager will be responsible for budget, procurement, and event management following the donor and organization’s compliance. S/he will also perform as the internal and external communication and liaison focal.
Qualifications and Experience • At least 5 years’ experience working in education, policy and planning, advocacy, coordination, and financing • Practical experience working within MOE and preferred. • Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports that document program direction and results. • Masters degree, preferably in Education, Environmental Sciences, and any climate related fields
