403104.Maintenance Technician

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To provide high quality, consistent and responsive operational and maintenance services in BDM subunit. In terms of mechanical, HVAC and firefighting systems and networks.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

As part of the overall General Management Division to the Regional Office, the Administrative Support Unit ensures the provision of infrastructure and support services in the area of property management, construction and security of Regional Office and WC Offices, office furniture, supplies and equipment, inventory management system, travel support and conferences, meetings privileges & immunities, concession contracts and contacts with local Host Government Authorities.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1. Follow up the successful operation of the related equipment such as, the cooling towers and chilled & condensation pumps. 2. Operate and maintain the Air handling units, fan coils and the air distribution networks in the RO 3. Operate, follow up and maintain of the air ventilation equipment in the RO, in addition to the ventilation interface with the carbon dioxide system of the parking area 4. Conduct a periodical flushing and disinfection of the fire and water tanks and ensure the safe stock of the water tank on daily basis and the optimum operation of water pumps 5. Conduct a periodical and preventive maintenance of the water, drainage and fire fighting networks as well as the bathrooms' fixtures 6. Ensure the optimum operation of the and water and underground drainage pumps 7. Conduct periodical operation of the fire fighting pumps inside the pumps' room and ensures the efficiency of the system and the interface with the fire alarm system. 8. Ensure that the fire fighting fixtures such as sprinklers, fire hose reels, fire hydrants are always stand by for the operation in the RO 9. Perform any other related duties as required and instructed by the supervisors

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Completion of secondary education supplemented by training in related field Desirable:

Experience

Essential: At least two years of experience in the maintenance and operation of the mechanical & HVAC systems. Desirable:

Skills

Good knowledge of HVAC works; operation, installation, and maintenance. Good knowledge of plumbing works. Good knowledge of fire fighting systems

Use of Language Skills

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at EGP 151,956 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
