BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

Within the Human Resources division, the Learning team of the Career Management Branch [HRMTC] operates to build the capabilities of WFP employees and to support leaders in being the best for their team, the organisation and WFP's beneficiaries. The branch's portfolio includes the following responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management Development
  • Language Learning
  • Learning Solutions
  • Learning Technology

The advertised position is within the Learning Technology team under the general supervision of the Chief, Career Management Branch (HRMTC) and under direct supervision of the officer in charge of the Learning Technology and Language Teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the integration of new e-learning content into WeLearn (WFP Learning platform) by coordinating the technical testing of new learning resources and their publication into WeLearn catalogue.
  • Respond to requests and queries related to WeLearn and its content
  • Troubleshoot at first level any issues with learner access, content availability and integration with external platforms
  • Build learning packages and learning channels within WFP Learning Platform (WeLearn) to curate learning content for specific competencies and skills

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

  • All requests for new learning content are addressed as per internal SLAS
  • Learners requests are fulfilled as per internal SLAS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education and Learning, Human Resources, Digital Media and Communication, Languages or equivalent

Experience and skills:

  • Experience with learning technology (LMS, learning authoring tools, etc.)

    • Familiarity with CRMs (Customer relationship management)
    • Experience with user support
    • Working-level understanding of testing cycles, including following up with testers, and content owners
    • Advanced experience in using office software (in particular Excel and PowerPoint) and internet browsers
    • Ability to draft text/communications/instructions for procedures and systems
    • Ability to conduct briefings for small groups of learners introducing processes and tools
    • Knowledge of HTML and ability to use graphic software.
    • Experience with the tools used by the Learning Technology team (CKLS, Articulate, Canva, etc.) will be considered an asset.

    Languages:

    Working knowledge proficiency (level C) of English
