Result of Service The consultant's services will help in mapping the trade facilitation procedures in the Central Asia through application of UNCTAD Single Window methodologies and best practices

Work Location Home Based

Expected duration Contract Duration: 15 September 2022 to 15 February 2023. Effective working time: 5 months Place of work: Home Based

Duties and Responsibilities In the context of the ASYCUDA and Single Window implementations and maintenance projects in the transition economies region, under the general supervision of UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia the Consultant will undertake following duties - Preparation of updated version of documentation of the regional version of ASYCUDA - Preparation of updated documentation for regional version of Customs declaration processing system; - Preparation of updated documentation for regional version of e-declaration portal ; - Preparation of updated documentation for regional version of accounting and statistics module; - Preparation of updated documentation of Port-Audit Module - Preparation of updated documentation for ASYCUDA Exemptions Module - Providing methodological advise to ASYCUDA developers on customisation of software components to the regional specifics

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: A first university degree, Bachelor, in project management, technical science, information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related area. Experience: At least 5 years of experience of work in ICT project management with experience of design, development, testing and piloting complex ICT applications, dealing with customs automation and Single Window systems methodology and documentation is required. Experience of working for an international organization is an advantage. Experience of working in the transition economies region would be an advantage. Language: Fluency written and oral in Russian with knowledge of English is required
