Result of Service Consultants work will contribute to enhancement of UNCTAD ASYCUDA system tools for better support of trade facilitation measures through better interoperability with e-commerce operators and rail/road carriers in the Central Asian countries

Duties and Responsibilities UNCTAD ASYCUDA Programme is implementing projects in the Central Asian region aimed at maintenance and upgrade of operational ASYCUDA systems with a view to further extending customs contribution to trade facilitation measures In the context of the ASYCUDA and Single Window implementation and maintenance projects in Kazakhstan and Central Asia under the general supervision of UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. the Consultant will undertake following duties

- Assisting ASYCUDA core technical team in development of ASYCUDA extended features for interoperability with e-commerce and railway operators for Kazakhstan and Central Asia - Customization of the ASYPAP Module, based on Moldova experience, for its utilization in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, - Customization of the Passengers Declaration module adapted for Central Asia operational environment; - Customization of the ASYPCD module, based on Moldova and Georgia experience, for its utilization in Kazakhstan and Central Asia - Customization of ASYCUDA interoperability with national railway operators and road carriers/TIR

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: A first university degree, Bachelor, in information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related area. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience of work in ICT sector as front-end and back-end developer is required. Experience of design, development, testing and piloting complex ICT applications . Experience in Java and Angular programming language is required. Experience of working in the transition economies region would be an advantage. Language: Fluency written and oral in English is required. Knowledge of Russian is desirable
