Job Description

The Integration Casework Assistant will provide administrative and logistical assistance to the Integration Services team to ensure that client services are provided and documented in a timely and efficient manner. The Casework Assistant could have a small caseload as they assist the overall team with services and support. This position reports to the Senior Integration Services Caseworker.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Review case files to ensure that required documentation is present and up-to-date. - Assist in referring clients to local resources or other social service programs. - Assist team in ensuring that required documentation and case notes are submitted and uploaded in a timely and accurate manner. - Provide transportation to clients for necessary services activities. - Provide support services in health, housing, education, employment, benefit enrollment and documentations for the clients based on service and self-sufficiency plans. - Provide administrative tasks, including case noting, logging activities online database, data entry tasks, and staffing cases as needed with coworkers.

· Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, and fully engage as a member of the team

· Comply with all IRC policies, procedures, and protocols including adherence to the IRC Way

· Other related duties as assigned

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Integration Services Senior Caseworker Indirect Reporting: Integration Services Supervisor Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: IRC Staff, interns, and volunteers

External: Position helps coordinate services and is responsible for maintaining relationships with relevant community partners

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED with some formal post-secondary education preferred

· Demonstrated relevant work experience in human services field, preferably in a non-profit or social services agency environment.

- Lived experience as refugee or immigrant. In lieu of lived experience, experience working with refugees and/or immigrants; cross-cultural or overseas experience accepted. - Fluency in written and spoken English, bilingual ability preferred in Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant language used in Arizona. - Cross-cultural understanding and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). Proven experience in web-based data entry systems - Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. - Flexibility with demonstrated ability to maintain responsibility for multiple tasks in the context of a diverse, fast-paced work environment. - Strategic, creative, problem solver capable of working well independently and as a part of a team. - Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area for home visits. - In accordance with Arizona State Law, must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card.

Working Environment:

· Current hybrid work involving remote work, standard office work environment, and local travel throughout service delivery area (50 mile radius)

· May require weekend and/or evening work

· Ability to lift 35 lbs to 50 lbs to move furniture, household supplies, and boxes.
