Result of Service 1. First draft of the translation of Darknet Cybercrime Threats to Southeast Asia publication from English to Bahasa Indonesia(14,397 words).

2. Proofreading of the document ensuring accuracy of translation of Darknet Cybercrime Threats to Southeast Asia publication, including interaction with the technical proofreader for technical/terminology advice.

3. Final draft translation including changes and suggestions as indicated by UNODC.

Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) provides technical assistance related to combating terrorism, organized crime, corruption and drugs to requesting Member States. This assistance also supports States strengthening criminal justice and health systems and to ratify and successfully implement international conventions and protocols, in compliance with the rule of law and human rights.

The Cybercrime and Anti-Money Laundering Section assists the Member States to combat the money laundering risks of cryptocurrencies, among other, and has published a Darknet Cybercrime Threats to Southeast Asia to support Member States in strengthening national capacities. In this context, the Section has developed original material which will be available online to national counterparts and public officers.

The individual contractor shall provide the following services:

a) Translation of the documents provided from English to Bahasa Indonesia.

b) Proofreading of the translation in language Bahasa Indonesia.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree in the fields of translation, linguistics or other relevant discipline allowing professional translation from English to Bahasa Indonesia is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience as a translator or interpreter is required.

Experience translating documents in the field of crime prevention or criminal justice is desirable.

Experience working with international organizations is desirable. Language: English and French are the working language of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required. Knowledge of another United Nations working language is an advantage.
