UNICEF Individual Fundraising unit has two separate call centers to running 10-20 campaigns per month. In 2020, TM campaigns contacted more than 400,000 donors, which is four times the total amount in 2019. In 2021, this growth trend will continue and may reach 1-2 times. This has caused a substantial increase in workload, which is far beyond the capacity of existing employees. On the other hand, we need to ensure that all projects can achieve excellent KPIs and ROIs, so additional manpower is required. In this regard, we need to engage temporarily an experienced consultant for 11.5 months to support telephone fundraising work from 15 Apr 2021 to Mar 2022 to complete 2021 workplan.

How can you make a difference?

The Telemarketing Assistant is responsible for supporting TM manager to operate telemarketing campaign, including agency training, project management, report and monitor, and daily administration work.

The Telemarketing Assistant work in UNICEF’s office in Beijing on working days to process information entry and answer inquiries from UNICEF supporters. The contractor is eligible for 1.5 days of paid leave per month in addition to UN holidays. Details please find from following major task/deliverables and timeframe.

3.1 Collect and monitor reports from agencies in time; checked reports’ correctness

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A bachelor’s degree from a college or university, or other comparable education.

  • At least 1-year experience working with call center as trainer, leader or QC.

  • Native Mandarin Chinese skills, reading and writing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills, ability to coordinate in a team setting, and communicate effectively with different teams and individuals
  • Good coordinating skills
  • Able to complete task on time, detail-oriented candidate is desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
