The Individual Giving (IG) team in Geneva, within the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), will offer an in person meeting during the month of February 2023, that brings together all Heads of IG, to talk through the strategic challenges and pillars, and will bring the opportunity to network and connect. Conversations will be focused on direction setting, strategic framing and overall shared vision around big themes and areas.

How can you make a difference?

The incumbent will play a crucial coordinating role by working with key stakeholders and external partners to successfully deliver the event.

MAIN TASKS

Before the event

  • Support the definition of the agenda as required
  • Liaise with the required stakeholders and session leads to inform about deadlines, needs and others
  • Collect all session structure templates and populate the relevant information in our site
  • Create and share templates for final presentations
  • Liaise with the meetings facilitators for the needed preparations and connect them as needed to the speakers
  • Work with the team in charge of logistics to make sure all sessions have the required space and materials
  • Coordinate with the venue and plan the needed technical setup requirements/meeting rooms and breaks etc.
  • Connect with speakers to gather presentations and other materials
  • Manage the requirements from external speakers participating in the event
  • Support the organization of side events and networking activities as needed

During the event

  • Attend the event in Madrid (if possible) to offer all the logistic support
  • Be the focal point to support and coordinate speakers & session leads
  • Collect any required information or materials for follow up actions (post its, notes, pictures from blackboards…)
  • Support any last-minute requirement or problem

After the event

  • Process all the collected materials to create the desired outcomes
  • Share the outputs with the required stakeholders
  • Support the definition of next steps

DELIVERABLES

  • Support is provided to deliver all sessions in a timely manner
  • All stakeholders are always informed and aware on deliverables and dates
  • All outputs of the event are followed and implemented

ESTIMATED DURATION OF THE CONTRACT AND PROPOSAL

3 months, tentatively from mid-December 2022 to mid-March 2023

Fundraising Specialist, IG, PFP.

WORK PLACE

Home-based (Ideally following Geneva working hours). Travel to Madrid might be required.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

  • A first level university degree in Marketing, Communication or other relevant fields is desirable.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience on events management, communications or related role is required.
  • Experience of developing or contributing to internal communications strategies is an asset.
  • International experience in a professional environment is an advantage.
  • Experience working for a Digital Agency and/or within a Digital environment preferred.
  • Fundraising/NFP knowledge is an advantage.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is considered as an asset.

It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
