Duties and Responsibilities The temporary job opening is full-time for six months. The individual contractor may undertake the assignment in a hybrid working arrangement (remotely and in person) as agreed with the supervisor and based on the operational needs.

This individual contractor's position is located in the Human Resource Unit, Executive Office serving the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) and Peace Operations (DPO). The individual contractor is under the general supervision of the Human Resources Desk Officer.

1. Serve as first point of entry for clients and client offices on general HR queries. 2. Monitor the internal ticketing system and work on tasks assigned. 3. Coordinate incoming requests with respective teams as needed and reply to clients. 4. Review and clear requests for submission to the SPA Panel. Coordinate Panel’s endorsement and inform respective HRP for implementation. Maintain SPA log. 5. File documents as appropriate. 6. Support with organizational and operational improvements. 7. Maintain the content of the office intranet and Sharepoint pages. 8. Support with the development of client outreach and communication material.

Qualifications/special skills High school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant first-level university degree in combination with one year of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of three years of required experience. A minimum of three years (or one year if graduated with a bachelor's degree) of responsible experience in administrative functions or general office support is required. Experience in working in large organizations is an advantage. Web content design highly desirable. A minimum of three years of responsible experience in administrative functions or general office support is required. Experience in human resources management or communication is desirable.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
