Who we are looking for: we are seeking to identify Identity, Access Management and Cloud Platform Specialist.

What we offer: an international consultancy contract of up to 11 months from start date will be offered to the selected candidate.

Workplace: due to current travel restrictions in most areas of the world, the incumbents are expected to remote work until traveling to Regional Bureaus or other locations/Country Offices will be allowed.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

TECM is a branch within the TEChnology division, responsible for all activities related to service management. The Workplace Management team within TECM is responsible for the global infrastructure, cloud services, Office365, Citrix and Identity and Access Management. The incumbent is expected to produce a clear roadmap for Identity and Access Management and work in an agile manner to deliver and implement new technologies. The organisation is currently going through a digital transformation, leveraging heavily on cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, to name a few. The incumbent is expected to contribute heavily, in collaboration with other members of the team, to the implementation of a sustainable global hosting service in Microsoft Azure complete with a robust governance framework.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Under the general supervision of the Chief TECM and direct supervision of the Workplace Management Lead and the Head of Infrastructure Services, the role of the Identity & Access Management and Cloud Platform Specialist is to support O365 and Azure identity management deployment, design, build, and day-to-day Operations & Sustainment of our enterprise identity management in a 24/7 operation. This person will also participate in the management of our consolidated server infrastructure and assist with the migration of systems from our datacentres to the private/public cloud.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and take responsibility for the implementation of a robust Identity and Access Management Framework, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, specifically IT Security, the development teams, the SAP and HR teams, and with UNICC and Microsoft.
  • Ensure that implemented technologies related to Identity and Access Management are operationalized in the corporate ITSM tool, providing service delivery teams with the appropriate guidance and documentation to be able to efficiently support the services on a global scale.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of a cloud governance model in Microsoft Azure, focusing on Identity and Access Management streams, reporting, communication, and driving new business opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of a robust and scalable global cloud-based infrastructure, in close collaboration with members of the Workplace Management team, together with the operationalization of a charge-back mechanism and develop cost optimization and efficient reporting and forecasting on expenditure.
  • Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to guide the transition of on-premises infrastructural components to the cloud environments, providing opportunities for process automation and optimization.
  • Mentor and coach team members to optimize their work practices to ensure the collective Workplace Management team achieves the KPI’s stated in the TEC Workplan
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education

University degree or studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.

Experience

5 years’ working experience with Identity and Access Management and cloud technologies. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

Technical Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Identity systems and identity for O365, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and/or Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) and other cloud services
  • Experience supporting and configuring Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD, AAD Connect, DFS and ADFS roles and services.
  • Versed in features such as Privileged Access Management Solutions, domain account authentication and authorization, Active directory auditing, RBAC implementation, AD and File System Entitlement
  • Experience managing, deploying and administering resources and services within a Microsoft Azure environment. Experience with other public cloud platforms desirable
  • Experience of Implementing, configuring and supporting Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • PowerShell scripting skills to automate routine processes
  • Familiarity with object storage and cloud storage gateways/edge cache appliances.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and customer support for complex technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in collaboration with a dynamic multicultural team

Language:

Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
