Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:
  • Facilitate vulnerability assessment with MEAL unit to identify the vulnerable households for FSL component.
  • Actively participate in beneficiary selection, beneficiary verification and beneficiary registration with MEAL unit
  • Contribute in supporting of WVA HIRO in receiving and inputting the beneficiary data into the LMMS, issuing beneficiary ration cards, generating BDLs and reports.
  • Contribute in developing FSL inputs assistance plans, take the necessary approvals from various units including project manager, security manager and zone manager, and submit to project manager for further process
  • Contribute in conducting of gender-sensitive market assessment of target areas for nutrition sensitive vegetable seed selection aligned to local market and women needs, as well as women’s market access.
  • Support the identification of kitchen gardening demo plots locations and host
  • Support the identification of drought resistant and nutritious sensitive vegetable seeds
  • Support the identification of fruit and non-fruit trees to support nutrition and regreening
  • Contribute modification and alignment of the training manuals, and IEC materials
  • Contribute in conducting of HHs needs assessment to review DIALS.
  • Implement all Food distribution-related activities under Food security and livelihoods and Nutrition sectors guidelines.
  • Coordinate closely with the project manager to ensure timely implementation of the project activities and get readiness for timely distribution of Vegetable inputs and trees for the target communities.
  • Ensure that all inputs distribution process and activities are in line with WVA endorsed SOPs and procedures.
  • Ensure that proper community development practices and “Do No Harm” practices are incorporated and upheld throughout the implementation of the project.
  • Provide regular updates to FSL Sector Lead on all project activities including beneficiary selection, verification and food distribution.
  • Travel regularly to all project sites to ensure proper implementation and quality of project activities and prepare input distribution plan-based completion percentage of the work.
  • Contribute in coordination meeting with community elders and line departments on food distribution activities.
  • Maintain excellent working relations with project stakeholder, partners and other contractors.
  • Raise and submit PRFs for selection of food distribution contractor and contribute in selection of contractor based on request of project manager.
  • Ensure project activities follow government rules and regulations.
  • Submission of monthly food requests for project operations
  • Ensure proper filling in a way that can be audited.
  • Other tasks assigned by the project coordinator.

  • Reporting planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and supervision
  • Submission of purchase requests for project operations on timely manner
  • Responsible to provide daily reconciliation report and monthly distribution report to project manager, And FSL Sector
  • Prevent and report for any fraud, corruption of allocated distributions to project beneficiaries.
  • Provide supervision to CBFs and any guidance need for the performance.

Other

  • Adhere to WV Child and Adult Safeguarding policy and standards.
  • Adhere to WV accountability standards.

Required Professional Experience

  • At least two yearsof experience working with NGOs in Food security, livelihoods and/or community mobilization.

  • Demonstrated proven experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation working in international or local NGOs in the field of Food Security and/or Livelihoods

• Bachelor degree in Agriculture, or any other related to Agriculture field

Preferred Knowledge

and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Agriculture and Work experience in financial and accounting is highly preferred.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Food Security and /or Livelihoods projects in Afghanistan particularly Western Afghanistan
  • Ability to draft good quality short reports in English
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and excellent team worker
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Demonstrate openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, equal’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development and humanitarian work.
  • Experience in working with small scale farmers and conducting farmer trainings
  • Experience in working closely with local partner organisations and stakeholders throughout a programme cycle
  • Knowledge on Climate change and impacts on livelihoods/Agriculture sector

As the project has only agriculture activities, I changed the education qualification to Agriculture and related to the Agriculture.
